Julia León

Julia León is not only a singer but also a thirsty investigator. Through her trajectory, Julia León has been gathering an extensive directory of traditional folklore from many different Mediterranean countries.

She has musicalized the poems of some of the best known poets from the Spanish Gold Century (XV, XVI and XVII).  Her contact with Sephardic folk music has been extensive, during the last twelve years, she compiled from Hebrew communities.
